The Challenge
Hosting an art gallery fundraising event with 60+ local artists in Charlotte, NC for a gallery fundraising event. Event had to draw the local art community as well as art buyers in a historically underwhelming art scene. Additionally we had to maintain the cultural edge of the Culture Initiative brand including, music, lighting, live art instillations, art sales, beer and wine.
The Solution
- Digital grassroots campaign with dedicated webpage for sign up and pre-selling tickets, 2min video promotion, social media marketing.
- Designed posters and flyers and distributed at key culture hubs citywide.
- Gain involvement of local business owners for sponsorship– local everything.
- Developed press releases to secure local media coverage on all local media outlets.
The Result
- Over 700 people attended, triple the amount from the previous year.
- Largest amount of art sold to date by local artists.
- $5,000 was donated to a local charity.
- 5 print media articles featuring the event and 2 radio interviews secured.
